Since I have written last, we have gone golfing, went to see the sand sculpting, gone dancing, and had a visit from Rick's Uncle Jim and Aunt JoAnn. We went golfing with Barbara and Bobbie, Darrell is in Houston. We had a great time and the course was really nice. I didn't do to bad, but Barbara was the winner. She played great. And she got to see a couple of alligators. If you look on the left side of the water, you will see the alligator. This was the smaller of the two. I didn't get a picture of the large one.
I had hit a couple of good drives. The weather was great. Not to hot and we started out under overcast skies. Perfect for golfing. We had to share one hole with 3 of these turtles. They were moving along at a pretty good clip.
Barbara hadn't played since last March. She hadn't lost her touch. She is a very good golfer.
Friday we went down to the beach and looked at the sand sculpting contest going on. I guess they get big bucks for winning. There were people from all over the world there competing. It was amazing to look at all the different ones. Here is a little of what we saw.
This one was amazing, We couldn't figure out how they kept the arches from falling. They said that once they were done, they would mix glue with water and spray the entire thing. This would keep it for about a week, I think.
I was really glad we went to see this. Then that night we went to a dance. The one man band was great and he played a great variety of music. We danced and had a good time with Barbara, (Darrell is still in Houston), Bob and Liz and Debbie and Bobbie. A good time was had by all. Then this morning, Rick's Aunt and Uncle came down to spend the day with us. They live in St Petersburg during the winter and Maine during the summer. This past summer we were up visiting them and they reciprocated today. They have friends living in North Fort Myers and spent last night and tonight with them and then they will head back to ST Pete tomorrow. Then next weekend, Rick's Dad, sister Rose and Dean, and sister Joyce and Tim will come to Florida from Ohio. We will all meet up at Uncle Jim's for a visit. We can't wait! Rick's dad is sounding real good. He is still going thru the grieving process but that is normal. Getting him out of the cold will be good.

Those sand castle's are so cool. Glad you took pics so we could see.
Wow! Those sand sculptures are awesome. Don read your blog Sunday morning early, but I'm just now getting a chance to get caught up. Great pictures, Wendy. Also, so thrilled to hear that Rick's dad is doing so well. That's a praise! Don just loves it when Rick calls him... it encourages him more than you know.
Love and miss ya'll!
Great pictures of all the sand sculptures!! Makes us want to get to Florida - will be down there hopefully by the end of December. Take care.
