Summer has reached the Northwest

The last couple of days it has been in the upper 90's and lower 100's. We will be that way for quite a while. The pastor said this morning in church that summer has finally arrived and it's almost August! We try to go out and golf early before it gets to unbearable. Still not golfing very well. May try to lessons in AZ this winter. We have decided to leave here the first of September. We will do some sight seeing on the way back to AZ. This has been an experience that we will not forget. I really liked working in the Pro Shop. I have learned quite a bit about how a golf course is run. Much more than just by playing golf. We also have met a lot of very nice people. A lot of the people that live on the golf course do go to AZ in the winter. I must try to take my camera out and try to get a picture of the baby quail before they grow up! And no, LaVon, I have not sold it, yet! LOL! But when you've seen pictures of the golf course, things just don't change very much. They are trying to keep the grass from dieing. So Rick and Jay are only mowing twice a week and the second week of next month the Pro Shop people will be working 2 half days a week instead of 3. Works for me! Our son Josh is going to start school the middle of August. He is going to be a mechanic. He is so excited! He is using his GI bill for this. So maybe next time there will be pictures and then again, maybe not. Who knows!
