Today we say our final goodbyes to Rick's dad
Today is the one year anniversary of Rick's mothers death. This is the day we have the funeral services for his dad. It has been very hard on us. But Dad died with all of his children at his bedside and even had some of his grandkids around him also. We know he is up in heaven with Jesus and will no longer be scared or hurting. His passing has left a hole in our lives that we can only fill with memories. And we do have great memories of Dad. It is a shame that you only see certain family members and long time friends at a time like this. But we cherish each moment we have with them. Knowing they care is great comfort. Thanks to all that have been praying for us and thinking about us. We greatly appreciate everything that has been done. We cannot thank Hospice enough for all that they have done. Christine was the aid that took care of Dad and she was so special. Sue was his nurse. The both of them and the entire Hospice team were very understanding, informative and helpful. They will not be forgotten. Have to go now and am not sure when I will be back on here. Take care.
