Day in Maine

Sunday we went to Maine to Rick's Uncle Jim's cabin. They are on a lake and that is where they live in the summer. In the winter they go to St Petersburg, FL. We will see them this winter.100_1896 When we got there, Uncle Don and Aunt Sharon, Uncle Jack and Aunt Marg, cousins Debbie and Diane, all from West Virginia were there. Also, Rick's brother John, cousin Nancy and Joanne's son Troy and his wife from Denver.100_1897

This if the view from the side yard. This is there boat that we all went out on. The guys went first with Nancy. She went with the guys because she couldn't stay very long.100_1901 100_1902 What was funny was when they left the dock the boat would not stay running and it would not go into forward gear. Rick got the paddle out and started rowing. It was so funny but he had the camera and I couldn't get a picture of him.100_1907 One of the houses along the lake.100_1909 Then it was the ladies turn to go out. We had a good time but had to cut the trip short because of the lightning. The storm blew around us and we only got a brief shower and it was over. 100_1914 Rick found this flag on the boat. Just like Uncle Jim!100_1920 After we had a meal of hamburgers, hotdog's, coleslaw, chips, and cake, Rick decided to go kayaking. Uncle Don already was out in the lake in the other kayak.100_1924 100_1925 Uncle Don was winning.100_1927 Back to dry land. Next we got to see Uncle Jim's new car.100_1928 This was real neat. 100_1934 We all got a turn sitting in it. I could see myself driving something like this around town. 100_1941 Here is Aunt Marg driving, with John, Rick and Uncle Jim all pushing her. We have laughed so much this weekend. The only down side was that Rick's parents could not be here. John said that Mom is starting to swell from fluid and that she is starting to have some pain. She is under hospice care at home. Please keep the family in your prayers. We all had a great time. We are going to go on a dinner cruise with Uncle Jim and Aunt Joanne, cousin Jay and his wife Margaret, Bob and Liz and possibly with Liz's parents, Dick and Ann. We told Jay to set the date since he is the only one working. LOL. It rained most of the night and into the morning but now we see blue skies. But this afternoon we are to get some storms, possibly severe. But tomorrow is supposed to be a good and DRY day. Lets hope so. Today we are just vegetating and I am getting caught up on the blog. Take care all.
