Praise the Lord, it did not rain on us for the reunion. The day was just gorgeous!! And we had such a good time getting caught up with the cousins up here in New England that we have not seen for many years and some that I had never met. We hit it off with all of them just like we had been talking for years. That was so neat. Here are some of the pictures.
They had sand buckets and little toy lobsters and some picks to help with eating the real lobsters. That was an experience for me. I don't normally eat lobster but for 5 bucks we had lobster.
On the right is Rick's nephew John and on the left is his wife Michelle and in the middle is Rick's nephews Chris' girlfriend Alesha(? sp). They had spent the week in upper New Hampshire camping and they got rained on most of the week. So they were also happy about the sun being out.
Rick's Aunt Joanne made this cake. It was good.
Rick and Michelle playing Baggo.
Rick's brother John talking to their cousin Tina with Rick talking to Michelle. Tina lives here in New England.
These are the Fury boys from New England. On the left is Jim Jr but we call him Jay, in the middle is Andy and on the right is Jays son but I can't remember his name, sorry. I met so many and not all the names stayed registered in my mind. Am I getting old or what??? They did the cooking and what an outstanding job they did.
Now comes the fun and games. This was the three legged race. It was a hoot. We did not win but we didn't fall either. Next to us is Rick's cousin from Maine, Nancy and her husband Gerry and Rick's cousins Tina and Kathy.
Then Rick and John decided to see how they could do. In the middle is Aunt JoAnne and Aunt Mary. They only took 2 steps and they were down on the ground. They were laughing so hard they couldn't get up. On the left is Rick's cousin Tommy and his wife Kathy. She tried to get out of the game by saying she had white on and didn't want to get grass stains. That excuse did not work. This park was great. The shelter had it's own bathrooms in it along with electric and water. It was big enough for all of us. I think we had over 60 people there. We had so much fun that day.
This is Rick's Uncle Don and he is our age. That is his wife Sharon in the background. He walked around all day with his camera asking if he had taken your picture yet. And we kept telling him yes but he took your picture again anyway. I think he took 400 pictures that day.
This is John III being the auctioneer. Every reunion we all bring in items and they are auctioned off to raise money to pay for the expenses of the reunion. He did an outstanding job. In the background is Debbie, sitting on right. She wrote down who owes what. Aunt JoAnne is standing with her grandkids. After the auction, it was decided that the next reunion would be in West Virginia in 2010. After that we all pitched in to clean up and headed up to Portsmouth to visit with the ones that were all staying in the same hotel. We got home about 10:30 and boy were we tired.
