A Good Time at the Beach

Today we went to the beach. We went with Barbara and Darrell, Bob and Liz, and Bobby and Debbie. We stayed about 2 hours and had a good time. The water was very warm and the day was just about perfect. We saw a dolphin, which was really neat. They are such graceful animals. We watched the pelicans and other birds float across the water and dive in for their lunch. Bobby was crouched down in the water and when he stood up a whole school of fish, that was all around him, scattered. That was neat. Then those same fish were jumping out of the water at different times. The Gulf of Mexico is so much warmer than the Atlantic Ocean. So much more enjoyable. We did not get the rain this evening as predicted. It has rained almost every day since we have been here. Most of the time it is in the evening or overnight hours. So that hasns't been to bad. But the ground is real saturated though, and that is not good for parking on the lawn. Rick and I have started a routine of working out 3 days a week. The have a great exericise room here with 6 treadmills and all sorts of weight machines. It reminds me of when I was going to therapy after my car accident several years ago. Plus we have been riding our bikes all over the place. This park is so big, it is easier to ride your bike rather than walk. Liz said it is roughly 3 miles if you walk the perimeter of the park. It is a little to big for us. We do have our own pool just 1 block from us. We have met a few nice people there. It has not been very busy yet. Most of the people are not here yet either. Next month I'm sure we will see a lot more people out and about. Monday we will be attending a dinner dance at the sister park of this one. Sounds like it will be fun. All eight of us are going. This sister park looks very big also. Gas prices are starting to come down around here. But the diesel prices are not coming down as fast. Hopefully they will soon.
