Saturday we got a call from our dear friends from our home town in OH. They were going to be in our area on Sunday and could they stop in. Could they stop in!! Of course!! They are down in FL visiting their daughter Elaine who lives just outside of Ft Lauderdale. Jon and Rich have been our friends since our kids were little. Their daughter even did some babysitting for us. It was so good to see them.
This is one of our palm trees at our lot. We drove them around the park to show them how big it is and then we drove to the beach. We ended up in Naples and then came back and had dinner at the Sunshine Cafe. Good food and a really nice waitress. They spent the night with us and we had a great time getting caught up on what all has been going on in each others lives.
It was nice to see the Ohio license plate sitting next to our camper. We sure do miss those two. Many a times have we sat out on their back deck and solved the worlds problems. They went back to Ft Lauderdale today and will head for home by the weekend. They might come back to FL in January for 3 or 4 months and stay around Titusville, which is on the east coast. If they do, we will get together again with them.
This afternoon I went across the street to check on our neighbor. We have not seen her out and about for a while. Come to find out, she had fallen and has a very bad cut on her leg and is under the care of a Home Health Care nurse. I gave her our phone number and told her if she needed someone to be there in a hurry to just call us no matter what the time. She is very active for being in her 80's and does not like being cooped up in her house. We will continue to check up on her for the next few weeks. We went to the pool and I did laundry while there to kill 2 birds with one stone. LOL. Then after we got back, we washed the truck. Yesterday some birds decided to use it for target practice if you know what I mean. It looks pretty good for now. Hope the birds stay away for a while. It's supposed to get cool tonight, down in the 50's. But as long as the humidity leaves and the sun comes out tomorrow, it will be a great day.
