We have had a real good time here in Florida. Sat. we went to the beach by way of the trolley to have some appetizers and drinks. Well, we had ice tea. Rick and I got the calamari and onion rings. Then I got Cole slaw and Rick got a side salad. The food was excellent!
We were seated on the outside terrace. It was a little warm at first, but then it got more tolerable as the night wore on.
The first picture is of Barbara and Darrell and the second is of Bob and Liz. This is Bobby and Debbie.
After we were done eating, Rick and I went for a walk around the area.
There were all kinds of little touristy shops in the area. We did get a few pictures of the sunset.
A storm was coming in and these clouds were really neat.
I love the Gulf of Mexico!! It is so nice to be able to take the trolley to the beach because you don't have to worry about finding a place to park. It is really inexpensive to ride too. On Sunday we went to a Baptist Church not far from the beach. It was a little different than we normally are used to. The pastor had mid length hair and he was dressed very casually and he wore sandals. But he did preach from the bible. Rick wasn't to sure of him but we will go back this Sunday again. Once the snowbirds are down here in mass, it will be very difficult to get to this church. Then we will go to the one at the park here. Monday we went to the sister park to ours for a dinner dance. The food was excellent, Italian, and the one man performer was great too. He played a mean guitar. Tuesday, we got up and headed north to check out the park we are going to stay in after we leave here. We looked at a few other parks along the way. We were real pleased when we got to our park. The managers, Jan and Mike are really nice people. This is our lot.
We are in the new section that is only a year old and we do look out our back window to another park. But the site is nice and big.
Across the street from us will be a miniature golf course when it is completed. These manager/owners are doing something to update the park every year.
There are little street lights all along the roads. The fifth wheel you see was just backing in. Across the road is a big lake.
This is a gated community and I like that fact a lot. I was so glad we took this trip to check out this park. We feel very good about coming here. It is family owned and operated. That is a plus also. We took a different route home than when we came. We took Route 27 up and we were making a comment about the bear crossing sign we saw when on the south bound side of the road was remnants of someone having hit a bear. It must have been a big vehicle because this bear was real tore up and spread out. But you definitely knew it had been a bear. This was not close to our park, thank goodness. But we will be keeping our eyes open as we travel. That is all for now.
