High altitude problems

Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening, Rick came down with a severe headache. It was so severe that he asked to be taken to a hospital. He had nausea and diarea with it. All the tests came back negative. The doctor was not sure to say if it was altitude sickness since we had been here for a week. He said that it usually happens the second or third day. But in talking to John and Linda and Gaylon and Lynette, who have been coming to this area for over 40 years, they said it sounded like altitude sickness. They have seen a lot of it over the years. So we drove about 100 miles south into New Mexico to a lower altitude to see if he felt better. This is the second day here and he is feeling so much better. The headache is gone, but the stomach is a bit slower to get back to normal. Tomorrow we will go back up to Colorado and see what happens. As a precaution, I will be getting the camper ready to move. The owners, John and Linda are great people. We really feel bad that this has happened. They have been praying for us, as have a lot of others and we greatly appreciate it. There is a couple from Texas in the park, Kelly and Laura, who have been great. Laura is a nurse and she was able to give Rick some anit-nausea medicine before we made the trip south. Rick slept most of the way. This is not how we planned to have our summer go. Oh well, we will make do. I talked to Shelley and she gave me her 2 cents worth as to what we should do. I love her for that. And we may have to follow her advice. Will she ever get over it if we have to follow her advice??? LOL!!! She may get a big head and open an advice column. Love you girl!!!! Will keep everyone posted as to what is going on.
