Lazy Day

Today we got up and it was a little gloomy with light showers. Not long after we were up the sun started peaking thru the clouds. We worked on gluing the cardinal to the board for the picture. After lunch we went to Sam's Club for some of the chips that Buddy and Shelley got us hooked on. Then we came back home and took a walk around the campground. This time Rick had the camera. Here is a little of what we saw. This is a pelican that kept diving into the water for a fish, but we could not get that part of it on film. There were two crabs playing in the water. This was the bigger one. I think it is really cool how the water looks. The tide was coming in. This squirrel was just waiting to have his picture taken. He just sat there until we were done. He is one of the bigger squirrels in the park. Most of them are smaller. I was actually looking for dolphins. They come in every now and then into the bay by the park. No such sighting today. Rick gave me his golf hat to wear while he was taking pictures. It's the new fashion look. And since everyone else was posting pictures of flowers, this one is outside our door. This morning it was open almost all the way. But as the day wore on, it started to close up.

The kids were going to come over tonight but Jackson had a lot of homework. He needed to do a lot of reading. So we will go over tomorrow for a cookout with ribs and an apple pie. The rest of this evening we watched TV and I worked on my knitting.
