Saying goodbye to Donna & Jim

Today we went golfing with Donna and Jim. I did pretty good but don't ask Rick how he did. He usually hits a mean shot from the tee but today he kept going to the left. WE both lost a few balls today. At one hole the guys couldn't hit from the men's tee because it was under water. High tide and a strong southerly breeze had the water everywhere. We played in Pass Christian which is right along the gulf. There are still so many homes that are not inhabitated or just not there from Katrina due to the insurance companies not paying up. What a shame. Saw a lot of for sale signs in this area too. Well, after we played 18 holes of golf, we went out to the Shaw's Fish House for the absolute best catfish dinner around. Or anywhere for that fact. On Thursdays, they have all you can eat and boy did we eat. We could hardly move afterward. Then Donna and Jim brought us back to the camper and we said our goodbyes with the promise of coming back again in the fall. We told them we may stop in without the camper since their new home has 4 bedrooms. Tomorrow we will go to Fort Walton Beach FL to stay the month with our son Josh and his family. We will be staying on Hurlburt Field Famcamp if they still have some open slots. Josh said today there were several slots open. Am really lookfing forward to seeing the kids and grandkids. Then in May we will be going to Ohio and seeing our daughter and grandson. We haven't seen them since Sept of last year. Talked to Shelley today and they sound like they are having fun. We will be seeing them this summer sometime.
